[this letter from the Marifuana Policy Project is worth your time --fen]
H.R. 2592, a bipartisan bill that would allow states to determine their own
medical marijuana policies without federal interference, is steadily
attracting new co-sponsors in Congress.
As part of its lobbying efforts on Capitol Hill, the Marijuana Policy Project
has set up a Web site that makes it possible for our voices to be heard in
the halls of Congress: http://www.mpp.org/USA
Would you please visit this Web site to fax a free, pre-written letter to
your U.S. House member, asking him or her to support this medical marijuana
bill?
All you need to do is type in your address, and MPP's Web site will determine
who your U.S. representative is. Then you merely need to choose which
pre-written letter you want to send, and the Web page will do the rest. The
whole process takes less than two minutes.
MPP's chance of success in Washington depends in large part on our efforts as
citizens and voters to make our feelings known -- namely, that the federal
government should not be threatening sick people with arrest and imprisonment
for using marijuana. Please join me in assisting MPP in its important work.
Please visit http://www.mpp.org/USA. The more people who take advantage of
this user-friendly service, the louder our collective voice will be in
Washington, D.C.
Thank you!
